Workshop
Our workshop has scheduled drop-in sessions for lapidary and silversmithing where members can work. We also occasionally have ad hoc special workshops announced via email, newsletter, and meetings. The drop in fees are $5 for Lapidary and $4 for Silversmithing per session.
If you are a member in good standing and have taken the required introductory workshop training courses, you can drop in at the workshops and use the equipment on a first-come, first-served (shared) basis. Be prepared to work on another project if you need to wait to use a particular piece of equipment. Members are reminded that they are expected to supply their own personal protection equipment (PPE), such as ear protection and safety goggles, once they have completed their training sessions.
Use of the workshop is limited to members in good standing of the Hastings Centre Rockhounds. Membership can be obtained by attending one of our monthly meetings. Please visit our Membership page for full details on how to join.

Please note that the schedule is subject to change based on instructor availability. Changes are often announced by email.
*Beginners to Silversmithing are asked to contact Crystal before attending. Instruction is available only at the Saturday session, and there is a $45 beginner’s kit with supplies needed for silversmithing.

Torch-on Enamelling classes
Maximum number is 6 attendees. The cost is $10 for materials and $3 for the workshop fee.

Note: If Silversmith workshop registrations do not meet the minimum requirement, it may be cancelled, Crystal will notify registrants if that happens.
