On March 26th, Kyle and Wes Piatocka took 27 people on a Field Trip to Daisy Lake Reservoir on the Cheakamus
River in the Sea to Sky Corridor, just south of the Whistler and immediately north of the abandoned townsite of
Garibaldi. The group spent about 6 hours there hunting for quartz crystals. The group found many small and
medium clear quartz crystals, some with chlorite inclusions and chlorite outer layering. Others found a plentiful
amount of quartzite. All in all, it was a successful day for these Rockhounds.
